Where is Warwickshire?
Warwickshire is Shakespeare
country and is probably best known for
Stratford upon Avon, Shakespeare's
birthplace. It is located right in the
middle of England about 80 miles north west
of London. Warwick is the county town and
it's here you will find the world famous
Warwick Castle. Not too far away are
fashionable Royal Leamington Spa and
Coventry, a large city with a modern
cathedral adjacent to the one bombed in the
Second World War. There are several
smaller towns including Rugby, home of Rugby
School and the birthplace of the game of
rugby and Kenilworth with its historic
castle. Nearby Birmingham is England's
second city and immediately south are the
beautiful Cotswold towns and villages.
